経歴

2017年　 39歳のときにケースワーカーの勧めを受け、武蔵野アール・ブリュットに応募し入選。
同年、上野・東京都美術館で開催された国際美術大賞展に入選・入賞。以降、同展に3年連続で入選・入賞を果たし、アウトサイダーアーティストとして本格的に活動を開始する。
2018年　 自身初となる個展を渋谷ゼロカフェ青山にて開催。
2020年　 アートパラ深川において2年連続入選・入賞。
2021年　 第一回Shift公募展入選。The Doorless（築地）出展。日選ネット佳作賞受賞。
2024年　 パラリンアート世界大会にて審査員賞を受賞。

ステートメント

絵は、気がつけば僕の人生そのものになっていました。
言葉にならない感情、衝動、日常の痛みや違和感を、描くという行為によって外へと解放してきました。
計算や理屈ではなく、手が動くままに線を引き、色を重ねる。その繰り返しの中で、自分自身と世界との関係を確認しています。
描くことは生きることそのものであり、今の自分にとっての生きがいです。

KAZUHIRO ASAUMI　Biography

In 2017, at the age of 39, upon the recommendation of a caseworker, he applied for Musashino Art Brut and was
selected. In the same year, he was selected and awarded at the International Art Grand Prize Exhibition held at the
Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum in Ueno. He went on to receive selections and awards for three consecutive years at the
same exhibition, officially beginning his activities as an outsider artist. In 2018, he held his first solo exhibition at Zero
Cafe Aoyama in Shibuya. In 2020, he was selected and awarded for two consecutive years at Art Para Fukagawa. In
2021, he was selected for the first Shift public exhibition and exhibited at The Doorless (Tsukiji). He also received the
Nissenet Selected Artist Award. In 2024, he received the Juror’s Award at the Paralym Art World Competition.
Artist Statement
Before I realized it, painting had become my life itself. Emotions that could not be put into words, impulses, the pains and
discomforts of everyday life — through the act of drawing, I have released them outward. Rather than calculation or logic,
I let my hands move freely, drawing lines and layering colors. Within those lines, I confirm my relationship with myself
and with the world. To paint is to live. For me now, it is the very reason for being alive.
